Amrit Ahuja took over the post of Director of Communications for Facebook India team on 1st February 2018. Ahuja, who had been asked to join way back in December 2017 has worked as a PR consultant for MSL for over two decades.
MSL is one of the most recognized global public relations and integrated communications partner which provides counsel and encases creative thinking.
Ahuja has been a top-notch communicator when it came to handling her organization’s public relations. It was last year when she became the India Managing Director of 20:20 MSL prior to which she was leading the company’s Asia Technology Practice.
Her journey has been from the satellite TV to technology and finally reaching the internet. On this note, she said, “My journey started from Zee to Google and then I landed on Facebook. It has been overwhelming giving me an opportunity to understand how communication creates disruptive business brands.”
The Facebook team was looking for an able person to handle their PR and communications team here as they were down to only one person because Carson Dalton, the head communicator in India, left last year. In order to grow their team, Ahuja was chosen to serve the role.
Ahuja will be developing the scope of PR mandate covering products, policies and more commercial initiatives. It is decided that she will report to Charlene Chian, the APAC head of communications of Facebook.
